The sole purpose of establishing this portal was to provide a site free from censorship where the various legal issues around the Vbulletin 3 Licence can be discussed. I am not interested in providing a site where vb4 fanboys can mouth off, so if that is your thing, you are at the wrong site. The site is primarily for users who feel IB have acted unprofessionally, and have breached consumer’s rights as stipulated within UK and EU statutes.

Just how trustworthy is Internet Brands? By that I refer to the fact that IB collect and process the personal data of individuals who reside in many different countries. After the recent Vbulletin 4 licence fiasco, all legal jurisdiction was transferred to the USA, away from the UK. Under EU laws, IB must comply with and satisfy various regulations that appropriate protection will be afforded to customer data.
However the intentions of IB may be to the detriment of EU customers as in their own words;
“Judicial and regulatory limitations and conditions on our ability to collect, maintain and use information about Internet users.
So what do they mean about “Using” this information? Do they mean to sell on to a third party? Another comment that caught my eye was the following passage;
